Description
New Duraboard (Millboard) Formula is smoother on both sides and more durable than the old style and can be fired many times. Used as a fusing surface, it eliminates the need for shelf primer. Cream colored rigid board is extremely durable for its thickness and made of ceramic fiber which is denser and more rigid than other fiber papers. It cannot be rolled or molded, but is very easy to cut. Rated up to 2300oF (1260oC) and has two smooth sides (though one is a touch smoother than the other). Pre-firing to 600oF (316C) to burn off the binder is recommended. Use in ventilated area and wash hands after use. Can also be used as a kiln bottom liner instead of using a shelf.
